Bounded on the South by a line drawn from the North West corner of Bluff Island through Table Island and con- tinued South Westward to the coast of the Mainland.
Bounded on the East by a line drawn from the North West corner of Bluff Island to the North East corner of Town Island thence due North to the coast of the Mainland.
(c) Mirs Bay Area.
Bounded on the East by a line drawn from the S.E. ex- tremity of Port Island due South to the Mainland, and by a line North West from Port Island through Round Island to Sha Tau (Im Tin).
PART VI.
85. LIFE-JACKETS:-Life-jackets are to be stowed in approved positions and in no case below the weather deck.
86. For the purposes of this Part and for the inter- pretation of the description in regulation 1 of ships of Group II, Class 2, the expression partially sheltered waters (specified areas) means waters in the areas and within the boundaries specified in this regulation, that is to say-
(a) Hong Kong Area.
Bounded on the West by a line drawn from Brothers Point to the North extremity of Lantau, thence to the North West extremity of Mah Wan Island, thence to the North East point of Chung Hue; thence to the South East point of Chung Hue, thence to the western extremity of Green Island. thence to Boulder Point, thence, following the eastern coast line of Lamma Island, to Ngai Tau Point, (Wong Chu Kok) thence to Chung Am Kok.
Bounded on the East by a line drawn from Cape Collin- son to Slope Island thence by a line drawn N.N.E. to the Mainland.
Availability and adequacy of Lifeboats and Buoyant Apparatus.
87.—(1) The lifeboats and buoyant apparatus in a ship shall be readily available in case of emergency and shall be adequate.
(2) To ensure that they are readily available, the life- boats and buoyant apparatus shall comply with the following conditions:
(a) They must be capable of being put into the water safely and rapidly even under unfavourable conditions of list and trim.
(b) It must be possible to embark the passengers in the boats rapidly and in good order.
(c) The arrangement of each boat and article of buoyant apparatus must be such that it will not interfere with the operation of other boats and buoyant apparatus.
